My favorite restaurant in Kilchberg is Chez Fritz. Located directly at the lake and with first-class service you feel like on holiday. Very suitable for groups and family celebrations. The large terrace with outdoor bar and lounge invites you to linger. The cuisine is Mediterranean, varied and modern. It's a pity that there are not more restaurants like the Chez Fritz in Zurich.

My tip: Canadian lobster with Jamon Serano, colourful warm vegetable salad with Beluga lentils & avocado dip or for meat lovers the beef tartare

Pizza Napoletana, one of the best in Zurich. The San Gennaro on Wipkingerplatz has moved and the Pizzeria Da Pone has reopened with a surprising number of familiar faces ;-) A large part of the San Gennaro team, including pizzaiolo Francesco Pone, are (newly) at work here.

Kitchen

Francesco Pone trained in Naples with one of the world's best pizzaiolos, who also created the recipe for the Margherinara, which has already won awards. The flour for the pizza dough is a proprietary mixture and is ground in the Swissmill opposite. The pizza dough is left to rise for 48 hours and the pizza is baked quickly and very hot at 500 degrees with an airy crust and high-quality ingredients such as selected San Marzano tomatoes.

Ambience / Details

The restaurant has 170 seats and has different rooms; the conservatory is a little noisy. Guests who are more sensitive to noise are better off sitting in the other area. In summer, you can sit outside with a view of the Limmat.
I think the pizza and the ambience are even better than before. :)

Fischers Fritz is a very special kind of campsite. In the adjacent two-storey wooden house tasty dishes are served, in summer directly at the lake. On Sundays Fischers Fritz invites you to brunch. All bakery products are made by the Péclard confectionery at Café Schober. Unique are the fish crunchies, selectable with 8 different kinds of fish. Those who live in the lower half of the lake can be picked up with the fast Böötli.

My tip:Sunday brunch with friends, celebrating birthdays or just enjoying the summer. Absolutely reserve!

😍 I am blown away by the Hönggerhof restaurant 🫶 Mediterranean cuisine right on the Limmat, incredibly stylishly furnished. Very suitable for business lunches, culinary eveningsand date nights. There is a separate room for approx. 7 people. Here the curtains can be closed and then you are completely undisturbed. 

The service is excellent and you can feel the extraordinary warmth of the two hosts Steffi and Pietro 🥰🙏.

Wine: Pietro has a great weakness for wine and has therefore set up a wine séparée. His goal is 500 items. The wines can also be taken away.

My tip: Menu with tiramisu freshly prepared at the table

😍 Breathtaking views over the lake and mountains, an upscale ambience right on the lake and modern, cosmopolitan cuisine with mainly regional and seasonal organic products. Under the direction of Head Chef Gerhard Rentz, the kitchen crew at LUX conjures up tried-and-tested classics as well as exceptional menus. It's hard to choose between meat and fish dishes, seafood, homemade pasta preparations and vegetarian and vegan dishes.

At Brunch de LUX, there are various buffet stations every Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. "From tempting pastries and homemade granola to savoury avocado mille-feuille with seasonal vegetable ceviche, you'll find everything your heart desires. At the barista station, we prepare your coffee, fresh smoothie or power shot with passion and know-how just the way you need it. Accompanied by electronic beats and chillout sounds."

My recommendation:Business lunch with lake view for CHF 49 👏 The first course consists of soup and starter. The main course is served in the second course.

The pumping station, or in short'Pumpi', is located on Utoquai and is the perfect summer meeting place to enjoy the Zürisee and the last rays of the sun with a drink followed by barbecue specialities. Finding a place in an open-air restaurant is not easy. A very popular place to end the day. Open only in summer.

☀️🥰 A table right by the lake, for me that's part of the perfect summer. My small list of restaurants on the water is with the Seerose a position expanded - and that in Zurich! 🫶

⛵️⚓️🚤In the Seerose you enjoy a house-by-the-lake feeling, numerous boats leaving or returning home for a tour on the lake and seagulls circling.
This setting is a wonderful place to dine and linger. Many have already discovered the location for themselves, because on a Tuesday evening at 10 pm was still high-life here. 😎🤘

✋ The restaurant is often fully booked in the summer, but there is usually a seat at the bar. The fine Pinsa are also served there 😋.

I enjoyed all the dishes and drinks very much. The service was friendly and expeditious. 😍

Kids Special:  every Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. there is free childcare for children aged 3 years and over on advance booking/reservation in the restaurant. (Oct-end of April)

🌊CASUAL FINE DINING ON LAKE ZURICH
Sophisticated and uncomplicated cuisine. A breathtaking view. The new host couple Stephanie and David know their trade. 

The Wöschi restaurant is located directly on the lake and is the perfect summer restaurant. The glass windows offer a great view of the lake even in cooler temperatures. 

🌿 The two of them and their team have created a real oasis of well-being with top service here. There is a new 3-5 course surprise menu for dinner only.

😎 Every Sunday the brunch invites you to enjoy it from 10:30 am.

My tip: Surprise menu in the evening

oh Lac Brick is located directly on Lake Zurich in the trendy surroundings of the red brick silk weaving mill (Red Factory), which has been in existence for more than a hundred years. The cuisine is market-fresh and oriental inspired. Vegetarians and vegans also get their money's worth. You order food and drink at the bar. Very uncomplicated atmosphere, which can be combined well with a cooling in the lake.
