Restaurant Turandot concept
Guests from Basel and Bern travel to Usterin the Zurich Oberland for this Chinese restaurant. Hao and Bo are originally from China (Hao from Shanghai and Bo from the north of China) and are opera singers at the Zurich Opera (hence the name Turandot - the last opera by Giacomo Puccini).
Their passion for food and the desire to show the very different facets of Chinese cuisine led them to open this restaurant.

There are two menus, one traditional with authentic dishes and one adapted for Europeans. I noticed, for example, that I liked the traditional version of the wonton soup better, so my tip is to try the traditional menu ;-)
Peking duck is available to order in advance and is served traditionally in several courses.
