Rössli Illnau: Enjoy with a clear conscience.
The Rössli in Illnau will soon be looking back on 200 years of history and combines a 3-star hotel, restaurant, event rooms for weddings, family celebrations and seminars and two bowling alleys.
Rössli Restaurant / Cuisine:
The cuisine emphasises regional and, where possible, seasonal products of high quality. Hence the motto: Enjoy with a clear conscience. The menu includes Swiss and Austrian classics. Events such as concerts, brunch, wine & dine etc. take place regularly and the menu changes regularly with special menus such as the Austria weeks, Christmas and New Year's Eve menu...
A special highlight during the week is the business lunch (3 courses. 45 minutes. 52 francs.). The service is particularly attentive and the restaurant has a lot of charm, both in winter with its parlour with fireplace and lots of wooden elements and in summer with its secluded garden.
The Rössli values / philosophy:
🥬🍎🥩🐟We buy meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, potatoes and eggs from farmers in the Züri Oberland region. We pick all herbs fresh every day in our herb garden. Our suppliers are regional family businesses. The bread comes from the Nüssli bakery in Illnau. We source our meat from the Buffoni butcher's shop in Illnau, the Hotz butcher's shop in Pfäffikon and the Lustenberger butcher's shop in Uster. We only use Swiss meat.
🍺🍷We only stock regional beers from Illnau, Winterthur and Uster. Mineral water, cola, organic lemonades, spritzers, cider, fruit juice, tonic, bitter lemon, vodka, gin, rum, fruit brandies, single malt whisky, grappa, nocino and limoncello all come from Switzerland. We have over forty wines from the cantons of Zurich, Thurgau, Graubünden, Valais, Vaud and Ticino in our range. We do not use wines from overseas. All Rössli IlInau suppliers are regional family businesses.

👛🤝Wages and social benefits at the Rössli Illnau are well above average. We are a fair employer and distribute tips fairly throughout the team. We employ a member of staff from Ukraine. We train one apprentice in the kitchen and one in service. All employees share in the company's profits.
☀️Die Heat is generated by 2 heat pumps and 7 geothermal probes. In summer, the building is air-conditioned via the geothermal probes. The ventilation systems work with heat recovery.
The waste heat from the kitchen refrigeration systems is used to preheat the hot water. The Rössli Illnau has no oil heating, but has its own photovoltaic system.
🏅The current "Falstaff" awards us 90 out of 100 points and gives us 3 out of 4 forks. We won the "Swiss Location Award 2023" and have been a member of the "Guild of Established Restaurateurs" and the "Slow Food Cook's Alliance" since summer 2023.
