Metropol
I wouldn't have expected wagyu, sushi and gyoza at the Metropol restaurant. Admittedly, it's been a while since I last ate here.
But the Japanese food, great ambience and warm service have convinced me not to let so much time pass until my next visit. 😍
🤩 The special: All year round, the outdoor seating under the incomparable arcades, with the beautiful marble floor, is a highlight and a sought-after meeting place. I like to be there for ☕️ or 🥂🍹.
🏫 The building, steeped in history, is home to a restaurant with modern Japanese cuisine, a champagne bar, a café, and two banquet rooms with state-of-the-art technology for all kinds of occasions.
👨🍳 The cuisine of chef Markus Imboden & team is an interpreted kind of Japanese IZAKAYA style, modern Japanese - but not authentic.
My tip: Gyoza, Sushi plate for 2 with mixed tempura, White chocolate mousse with miso, Yuzu berry ragout
