Great value for money at Schiffbau Zurich: LaSalle

Restaurant LaSalle concept

LaSalle at Schiffbau Zurich has been around for 24 years (as of 2024). With host Stefan Iseli and head chef Andreas Medewitz, a fresh breeze is blowing through the restaurant. I particularly like the diversity of the restaurant. In the bar area, for example, you can have a bite to eat and a drink before or after a visit to the theater at Schiffbau or a concert at moods.

The size of the restaurant and the beautiful ambience with changing paintings is perfect for a business lunch or date night, but also for larger groups or even an exclusive occasion or event for 80 people or more.

The atmosphere is casualand not at all stiff, with very attentive service to make you feel at ease. In summer, there are also tables outside.

Food and drink at LaSalle

Aperitif: The new snack menu leaves nothing to be desired and offers new creations such as crispy polenta sticks, hot dogs made from Thurgau apple pork and steamed buns with BBQ alpine chicken. Accompanied by a glass of wine (recommended by Stefan, of course) or a non-alcoholic rhubarb spritz.

Lunch/Dinner: The kitchen team conjures up "feel-good cuisine" consisting of Swiss classics, but also more and more seasonal creations with a Mediterranean touch. Great value for money, a main course rarely costs more than CHF 50.
Also highly recommended is the tavolata, also available at lunchtime if ordered in advance. Various starters to share, main course and dessert for CHF 89.

Wine: 1/3 of the 40-page wine list comes from Switzerland. Stefan maintains close relationships with unique winegrowers and therefore has a great selection, often consisting of older vintages. The wines by the glass start at CHF 7.50 per glass.
