Restaurant Beke concept

The former babette restaurant was taken over by three friends and gastronomy professionals and reopened as "Quartierbeiz" Beke near Idaplatz at the end of 2023. The result is a cozy meeting place for families, friends and gourmets for aperitifs, dinner and brunch. In warmer weather, it is wonderful to dine outside under the church trees.

The restaurant is located at Bertastrasse 16 and the name “Beke” is an old diminutive of Berta.

Cuisine and ambience at Beke

The Beke team attaches great importance to sustainability and uses Swiss products from the region and seasonal delicacies wherever possible. Personal contact is maintained with small and therefore special producers and suppliers. The Swiss cuisine is down-to-earth with a small selection of starters, main courses and desserts that are constantly changing. The focus is on meat and vegetarian dishes.

Every now and then there is cordon bleu on the menu, which is a particular highlight for many. I'll try that on my next visit.

My tip at Beke

Plättli with homemade sourdough bread, cow tartare (CH/organic), quark pizokel
